Treadlio is run by Brett Laws, a sole proprietor doing business as Treadlio. It gives rental businesses Treadlio Admin, where their teams work, and booking pages where renters book with them. This page explains what each collects and what happens to it. The website treadlio.com has its own privacy page.
If you rent from a business that uses Treadlio
The business you book with decides what it asks for and what it does with it; Treadlio handles your details for that business, not for itself. Its booking pages collect your name, email, phone number and date of birth, and after you book its renter page may ask for your driver’s license, signatures on its documents, and your passengers. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach Treadlio.
The business uses them for your rental. Treadlio uses them only to run the booking pages, payments and emails for the business, to keep the service secure, and as the law requires. We don’t sell them or market to you. To see, correct or delete your details, ask the business; we help it answer. You can also write to blaws@treadlio.com.
The booking pages count how far visits get through booking, using an ID kept in your browser only until you close the tab. They don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
If you work at a business that uses Treadlio
We keep your name, email address and role, what you change in Treadlio Admin (shown to your team in the activity log), and the cookie that keeps you signed in. We email you sign-in links and the notices your role receives. Your business’s own information is covered by the Business Terms.
Who else handles it
We share data only with the services that run Treadlio, each only for its job:
- Google Cloud, which hosts Treadlio and stores its data and files in the United States.
- Stripe, which takes card payments for the business and checks the business’s identity.
- Resend, which sends Treadlio’s emails.
- Sentry, which tells us about errors; we remove personal details from its reports.
We also share data when the law requires it, or to protect renters, businesses or Treadlio from fraud or harm.
How long we keep it
As long as the business uses Treadlio. When a business leaves, we delete its data after giving it the chance to export it, except what the law or open payments and disputes need us to keep. Our hosting keeps request logs, which include internet addresses, for a limited time.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, each business sees only its own, and Treadlio support can open a business’s Admin only when an Owner or Admin lets it in, for a limited time.
Changes and questions
If this changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Questions or requests go to blaws@treadlio.com.
